AMD Athlon 64

The AMD 64 processor runs on AMD64 technology and it is the Windows compatible 64-bit PC processor.

AMD Athlon 64 has a certain number of features including:

  • It supports up to PC-3200 and PC2-5200 unbuffered DIMMs
  • For socket 939, memory bandwidth is up to 6.4GB/s while for socket AM2, memory bandwidth can reach 10.6GB/s.

  • Up to 1MB (socket 939) or 512KB (socket AM2) Level 2 cache

    Change Virtual Memory Path

    By default, your virtual memory is in your C drive. It is better to move it to another partition, suhc as D or E. To change it, right click on "my computer" and select properties, click on advanced tab, go to the first settings tab, select 'advanced' tab again. Here you will be able to change the path to your virtual memory.
