Good Time to Get Shares from Microsoft?
October 27, 2007 – 5:25 amMicrosoft reported the fastest 1st quarter revenue growth, which is a 27 percent surge to $13.76 billion. This is the fastest growth pace since 1999. It represents an almost 3 billion increase over the first quarter of last year.
After all, this increase is well expected due to the release of its newest operating system Vista and its strategical move in recent years such as more collaboration with Linux vendor. The results were buoyed by combined revenue growth of more than 20 percent across its client, business, and server and tools businesses.
The problem is how far will Microsoft go in the future against AMD? Will Microsoft further beat AMD in the chip market? All these will be a question mark for potential investors.
